Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a condition which blurs and distorts both
distant and near objects. An astigmatic cornea has a different
curvature from side-to-side and top-to-bottom. With a
name more ominous than its prognosis, this form of blurry
vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea is commonly
correctable with glasses, contact lenses or refractive
surgery.

Cataracts
A cataract is a cloudy or opaque area in the normally
transparent lens of the eye. As the opacity thickens,
it prevents light rays from passing through the lens and
focusing on the retina, the light sensitive tissue lining
the back of the eye. Early lens changes or opacities may
not disturb vision. But as the lens continues to change,
several specific symptoms may develop, including blurred
vision, sensitivity to light and glare, increased nearsightedness,
or distorted images in either eye. Urgent surgery needed
to replace the lese with intra ocular lens.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a specific pattern of optic nerve damage and
visual field loss caused by a number of different eye
diseases which can affect the eye. Most, but not all of
these diseases are characterized by elevated intraocular
pressure, which is not the disease itself, but the most
important risk factor for the development of Glaucoma.
Drops every day and sometimes surgery are necessary to
keep the eye pressure down.
» Keratoconus
This condition begins in a person's teens or early twenties
when the cornea thins and bulges forward into a cone shape.
Special contact lenses may be necessary.
» Nearsighted (Myopia)
Also known as Myopia, causes poor distance vision. If
your eye is too long (front to back), or if your cornea
has too much focusing power, images focus in front of
the retina.About a third of the population is earsighted;
that is, they can see fine up close, but distant objects
are a blur. Glasses, contact lenses
or refractive surgery can correct myopia.A correction
with minus power lens is needed.Lutfi optical provides
ophthalmic lenses up to - 20.00D.
» Farsightedness (hyperopia)
Also know as Hyperopia, is the opposite of Myopia. Distant
objects are clear and close up objects appear blurry.
This condition is the result of an eye that is too short,
or a cornea that lacks the necessary refractive power
to focus on the retina. Most of the infant porn with hepermetropic
eyes +2.5D, but because of eye developing
It becomes gradually normal. A correction with plus power
lens is needed. Lutfi optical centre provides ophthalmic
lenses up to +20.00

Presbyopia
Greek for "elder eye," presbyopia happens to those
in their 40s and older when the lens within the eye loses
its elasticity and can no longer focus as well. Glasses
and contact lenses can help, and maybe soon there will be
surgery options, too.
» Floaters and Spots
Common signs of a detached retina, spots and floaters
can also occur with migraine, injury or other eye problems.
